Coaching is client-driven. And most coaches take that to mean that it’s the client’s responsibility to keep track of progress, goals, and direct the conversation during calls.
They’re not wrong. . .
But we do things differently at The RAD RT.
I know that the process of change can be overwhelming. And enlightening, and empowering and . . . It can be hard to keep track of those AHA! moments and maintain perspective.
That’s where the recaps come in.
The recap isn’t all-inclusive of our call – it’s not a transcript by any means. (It couldn’t be – we don’t record our calls!). But they do offer a bit of objective perspective from someone who is observing your experience.
I still encourage you to take your own notes, do some journaling or meditation or whatever mindful practice works for you to reflect on our sessions and your goals. The recaps are just a piece of that.
